History:

Kyle Wood graduated with Bachelors degree in Commercial Art from ETSU 1991. He was Designer/Artist responsible for Advertising for Kieth Carolina Direct Furniture, from there he moved onto a small printer B & G Printing as a designer creating Ads for various companies. With a talent for Airbrush and ready to break away from design, Kyle Wood was hire on at ARTIFX studio run by Greg McCullough. For 4 years he helped with various Airbrush Illustrations for companies such as Frito Lat, Warner Brothers, Disney, Pixar, and Miller beer . As technology advanced so did Artifx. Kyle helped Artifx move into the computer world. The challenge was to keep the same style and quality that ARTIFX had established, but do it digitally. After many more illustrations and computer comps, it was time to move on. Kyle Wood then hired on at Laser Tech (now Vertis) as an Artist/Retoucher/3D. Under the guidance of Andy Wagner, Kyle Wood made the transition into the world of high-end retouching and create imagery for various companies in 3D and illustration. After 4 years Kyle moved onto Steven Michael’s Studio, this was not a good environment to be in and after a couple years moved out of State to The Bradford Group in Chicago, where his task was to create, combine, use 3D and Retouching to create Virtual Products for print. Kyle Quickly became one of the top designers and requested by the Developers to work on their products, including the head product developer. These Virtual Product are used to test to see if the real product will sell before Bradford needs to invest time and money actually creating it. Kyle always got great reviews and was very committed to each and every product. And it shows, since many on these products are still selling today at Bradford. What ever extra time it took to invest in the company, Kyle did.  After 3 years, Kyle Wood got a better offer with SCHAWK, Dallas. He moved back to Texas to work for this prepress house, retouching images. He has now been at SCHAWK for 6 years.
